Independent Living Skills Resources
Small Group Independent Living & Community Experiences (In-Person)
Thursdays 9:00a.m. - 2:00p.m.
Most of our young adults gain the most independent living skills by our hands-on, immersive independent living instruction in our small groups. We combine these step-by-step lessons with relevant community experiences to reinforce skills and allow our young adults to generalize them out in the real world.
Our Thursday program also includes lunch. Sometimes we will prepare lunch for the small group together, practicing important kitchen independence, and other times we get the opportunity to practice social communication out at restaurants and in public spaces.
